Partner Feature

This month's partner feature is of our IT support company Combo IT.  Since we met at a business building seminar we have worked closely to help each other develop and implement our business strategies.  David and Rachel who run Combo are totally focused on becoming your company's IT Department.  Unlike PC fix it companies they have a strong focus on long term planning and quality systems with a view to minimising the total cost of IT over the systems life span.

David, Rachel and the rest of the team at Combo are seasoned experts in their fields of systems infrastructure and software implementation.  They can assist with analysis of the best systems, recommendations of equipment, sales of hardware and installation.  Once all your systems are fixed and running well, they can set up a maintenance schedule and make sure your systems stay at peak performance.  Let them worry about security, virus protection, backup and the other headaches of IT so you can focus on your core business.

Of course if you already have systems and they just don't work, don't put up with it!  Call the team at Combo and they will come out and troubleshoot the problems and get things back on an even keel.

Combo is our IT Department - we recommend you make them yours.

Networks and Associations

Flexible Learning Leaders
Flexible Learning Leaders are selected by the Australian National Training Authority as the Australian leaders in eLearning and Change Management.  Margaret Aspin was Flexible Learning Leader in 2000 and focussed on large internationally distributed companies who were
using new management theories and practices, in particular Virtual Organisation and Virtual Team theories developed in Europe in the 90s.

These companies were using elearning as part of workforce development strategies, and were examples of distributed teams and virtual workers, plus robust partnerships.  Therefore Margaret's visits were to the key virtual organisation management theorists in Switzerland, European teleworking experts in Sweden, the European companies, and the Virtual Teaming/Virtual Work specialists in the UK.  A visit to the Scottish University for Industry was very valuable for focussing on industry/training partnerships models.

Margaret wrote the Victorian State report and a critique for the Flexible Learning Leaders Allumni journal 'Wollemi Ringleaders'.

E-PERFORMANCE NETWORK

E-performance Network - Exploring E-tools for improving business results for training
Electronic tools are providing new opportunities for integrating learning and work. There are now collaborative web-based approaches for identifying skill gaps, matching individual and organisational needs, planning and providing learning environments, supporting application of outcomes in the workflow, and tracking impact on the organisation's performance.

This network will explore emerging models, systems and tools for supporting the transfer of learning outcomes from training into performance improvement results in the workplace.

The group will identify available e-performance tools, arrange online demonstrations and discussions, and gather case studies and lessons learned from organisations who are using these approaches. The network will be of value to anyone interested in planning, supporting and evaluating performance improvement strategies in their organisation.

Contact Margaret at marasp@aspinonlineconsulting.com.au to find out more. You may also like to go to the network at http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=439

You may be asked to register before being able to log in.
