We quite like the final quarter of each year. It’s a great time to do reviews, look up new trends for the next year and set some fresh strategy. Many of you in management are doing the same. I see on LinkedIn many people are asking about new programs, new ways of working and ways to take their organisation forward. Good for you!
So on that topic of new ideas, I’m delighted to say I’ve been accepted as a grant assessor for the Queensland Government’s Accelerate Ideas program. Assessment rounds will be held quarterly until the $1.5M fund has been expended. If you have a good idea and it involves some research with a public research organisation, you may be eligible. Visit the link above to review the conditions.
I’m very excited to have been certified as a small business mentor for TAFE Queensland Small Business Solutions. My colleague Wes Leake from Business Blessings and I will be kicking off some workshops and mentoring for startups and more established businesses later this month.
I’d also like to encourage you if based in Brisbane, to think about attending the EXPRESSWAY TMNetwork Forums each month. This forum is designed for innovative business people to meet with eachother, network and hear from organisations in research, government, innovative companies and many more. The network is free and is a collaboration between government, Microsoft, universities and others. The October forum is on Wednesday 22nd 11.15-1.30 at the Microsoft Innovation Centre George St Brisbane. You can contact me to receive the invitation. I am facilitating the forum and the topic is ‘Agility’. We’d love to see you there!
